WHAT IS SEGMENT 1?

Segment 1 driver education is offered before the driver begins supervised driving. It requires a minimum of 24 hours of classroom instruction, a minimum of six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, and a minimum of four hours of observation time in a training vehicle. Before beginning Segment 1, a teen must be 14 years, 8 months of age and have parent/guardian permission.

WHAT IS SEGMENT 2?

Segment 2 driver education is offered after the driver has held a valid Level 1 License for at least three continuous months and has acquired 30 hours of driving experience time including a minimum of two hours of night driving. Segment 2 includes a minimum of six hours of classroom instruction.

HOW MUCH DOES DRIVER EDUCATION COST?

​Our fee for Segment 1 is $330

  • All materials are provided

  • No hidden fees

  • No fuel surcharges

  • No exam retake fee

  • Support for students with learning challenges at no additional cost


Our fee for Segment 2 is $55

  • 6 hours of classroom instruction

  • Administration of State Examination

CAN I MAKE PAYMENTS?

We require full payment by the first day of class.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS?

For Segment 1, students must bring:

  • a parent or guardian

  • $330 in cash, money order or credit card (+3% fee)

  • birth certificate

For Segment 2, students must bring:

  • Level 1 license

  • Driving log with all hours added up (30 hours of driving, 2 of which must be at night). This can be in electronic format (on a device)

  • $55 in cash or credit card (+3% fee)
